About McCann University Academic Records |
|
The Academic Records Department oversees the release of university diplomas, verification of degrees and request of additional copies of University certification documents. The distribution of all diplomas is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended (also sometimes referred to as the Buckley Amendment), is a U.S. federal law regarding the privacy of student records and the obligations of the institution, primarily in the areas of release of the records and the access provided to these records. An Official Academic Record Verification letter, commonly called a "record verification," is a summary record information that generally provides information regarding the attendance at the University and any related statuses, e.g. class level, degrees awarded, etc. All verification information for university approved credit are maintained by the Academic Records Department. Official academic record verifications are released in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Official academic record verifications can be requested directly on-line or by FAX. .
